3 modes load working design:

Manual mode: you can turn on/off your LOAD manual.

Solar light control Mode: When PV voltage drop to 5V, controller is identified as sunset, then turns on the LOAD; Morning PV voltage raise to 5V, controller identified as Sunrise will turn off your Load.

Solar light+Time Control Mode: Sunset turns on Load, then set a working time, controller will turn off at specified time which set by yourself.
